Obituary
ORONO. March 16 - Mrs. Bula Hodgdon, 81, of Levant, died Monday after a long illness at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pauline Brown, in Orono. She was born in Levant, the daughter of Reid and Jane (Smith) Leach and was a life-long resident of that town. She was a member of Minerva Grange in Levant. Mrs. Hodgdon is survived by five sons, Ronald of Exeter, Cecil and Leon of Orono, Homer of Hermon, Thayne of Auburn; three daughters, Mrs. Thomas Sutton of Augusta, Mrs. Ralph Redmond and Mrs. Pauline Brown of Orono; 21 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Harvey's funeral home in Carmel Wednesday at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Theodore Perkins, pastor of the Levant Baptist church, officiating. The remains will be placed in the Highland cemetery tomb in Carmel for spring burial in the Waugh cemetery in Levant. Friends are asked please to omit flowers.Endnotes
