In the 1850 Census she is living in Gerry, Chautauqua County, New York (Dwelling 2660, Family 2744) with her husband William Cobb and two children, Lewis and Fidelia along with her sister Clarissa Jones.
In 1860 she is living in Windsor, Dane County, Wisconsin (Page 208, Family 65, Dwelling 70) in the Stephen Jones residence.
In the 1870 Census she is living in Boscobel, Grant County, Wisconsin with her husband John Carpenter.
In the 1880 Census she is living in Mount Ida, Grant County, Wisconsin as a widow with her daughter Texanna in another residence.
The following notes are from a Elizabeth Greene Cobb scrapbook given to Rick Blythe in November 1996. There is no indication of the source of the clippings but were grouped in an area of 1882 news information:
"Deaths -
At Liberty Pole, Dec. 24th, Mrs. Carpenter, a native of Chautauqua county, New York, aged 66 years.
Separate Clipping -
We take this opportunity of returning our sincere thanks to the residents of Liberty Pole and vicinity for their kindness and affection bestowed on us and ours during the illness of our mother Mrs. L. Carpenter.
