Per Chet Peters book: When about 9 yrs of age, Jacob moved with his family from PA to Botetourt, Co., VA. Later the family moved to Preble Co., Ohio. After his marriage to Elizabeth Lesh, they moved onto their own farm in Sec. 8. This was in the spring of 1812, and they remained there until their deaths.
