Paul DEARDORFF

(11 February 1814 - 12 November 1856)

Per Chet Peters Book: They lived for a short while in Preble Co., Ohio but soon settled on a farm near Roann, Wabash Co., Indiana. He, with the help of neighbors, erected his farm buildings and lived there the rest of his life. ( the hand-hewn log barn is still standing) Family tradition tells us that he was kicked in the head by a horse, ending his life comparatively young. Catherine remained on the farm until her death.
