Death
ALBEMARLE — Funeral services for Mrs. Ona Elizabeth Huneycutt, 74, of Oakboro were scheduled for 4 o'clock today at the Big Lick Baptist Church with the Rev. James Pressley and the Rev. James Tucker. Burial is to follow in the Oakboro Cemetery. Mrs. Huneycutt died at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Stanly County Hospital. She had been in declining health for some time. A native of Stanly County, she was born Jan. 23, 1892, daughter of the late George Franklin and Ester Helms Furr. She was a retired school teacher and a member of Big Lick Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Zeb D. Huneycutt; four sons, Hubert Huneycutt of Oakboro, Hoyle Huneycutt of Cocoa, Fla., Bill Huneycutt of the home. and Harold Huneycutt of Granite Quarry; three daughters, Mrs. Hal Love of Oakboro, Mrs. Ray Harwood of Greensboro, and Mrs. Kenneth Smith of Georgeville; three brothers, Rufus Furr of Oakboro, Claude and Clyde Furr of Stanfield: five sisters, Mrs. Beulah Huneycutt of Flint, Mich., Mrs. Thomas Drye of Oakboro, Mrs. Marshall Love of Stanfield, Mrs. Lonnie Huneycutt of Stanfield, and Mrs. Kelly Helms of Monroe; and 18 grandchildren.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, September 13, 1966
