Death
STANFIELD - Clyde Mathias Furr, 86, of 9001 Treehaven Drive, Charlotte and formerly of Stanfield, died Tuesday, July 13, 1999, at Charlotte Health Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Stanfield where he was a member. The Rev. Ray Osborne will officiate. Burial will be at the First Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Midland from 7 until 8:30 tonight. Born Sep. 24, 1912, in Stanly County, he was a son of the late George Franklin Furr and Annie May Helms Furr. He was a retired weaver at Cannon Mills. He was married to the late Edith Mausa Little Furr. Survivors include two sons, Donald Clyde Furr of Charlotte and Jerry Lee Furr of Concord; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
