Death
Services for Dora Keen, 97, are set tor 3 p.m. today at the Chapel at Belew Funeral Home with the Rev. Clay Brantley officiating. Burial will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery. Keen died Wednesday in McKinney. She was born Nov. 12, 1899 in Ashville, North Carolina to Columbus Furr and Sarah Goodman. Keen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn A. Keen; five brothers, Grover Furr, Titus Furr, Zeb Furr, Bill Furr and Jack Furr and one sister, Dorothy Furr Searborough. Survivors include a sister, Anne Furr Myers of McKinney; two sisters-in-law, Beatrice Furr of Three Rovers and Ruby Furr of McKinney; several nieces and nephews and special friends Janet Sims, Marie Lusk, Janie Rogers and Betty Shields.The Courier-Gazette, McKinney, Texas, October 17, 1997
