Titus James FURR

(17 Apr 1897 - 23 Nov 1969)

Hey Bill, I got your e-mail from what you had on ancestry .com on Titus James Furr. That he is from NC and that his family moved to Texas. He was born in 1897 in NC and married Maude Fox b 1900 Poss. MS. He moved to Texas and whether he married there or in MS, I don't know but he was a Teller for a bank. In the 20's he moved his family to Lubbock after losing his job and all his money. His brother in law had a store where Titus got a job. He had two children Titus James Jr. and Sarah Jane. I know that they moved again to New Mexico where Titus got his Social Security number. And then again to Durango, LaPlata Co., CO. Where he and his wife died. Titus 1969 and Maude 1987. James jr married in 1954 to a Jeane Jones. And remains here in Colorado and had three daughters. Now that he is old, he can not remember his grandparents but believes that Titus Sr's fathers name was Charley N. Furr from NC. So if you have anything would appreciate your help. Thanks for responding, Denise
