Obituary from the Wichita Beacon, September 15, 1924, page 10: Christopher Columbus Kirkpatrick, age 82, died at his home in Goddard on Sunday after having been a resident there for 42 years. He as a retired farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church of Clearwater. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; three daughters, Mrs. Joe McMillen, Clearwater, Mrs. Harry Likely, Dodge City, Mrs. J. C. Pike, Goddard; and three sons, George, Wichita; and James and William of Goddard. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock today at the Baptist church at Goddard with the Rev. B. I. Howard officiating. Burial was made in the Clearwater Cemetery. The City Undertaking Company was in charge.
