Wichita Beacon, Wichita, Kansas, January 8, 1937: George Washington Kirkpatrick, 73 years old, died after a short illness at his home 901 1/2 West Douglas Avenue Wednesday night. Mr. Kirkpatrick had been down town but became ill on his return. A doctor was called but Mr. Kirkpatrick died in a short time. He was a mechanic by trade and for 12 years was with the Wichita streets department. He had lived in Wichita for 53 years. Mr. Kirkpatrick was a member of of the Trinity Methodist Church, the I.O.O.F. and the Modern Woodmen of America. Mr. Kirkpatrick is survived by his son Paul D. 452 South Clifton Avenue; two daughters, Mrs. Ruby Orcutt 125 South Seneca Avenue and Mrs. W. A. Dadisman, 446 South Grove Street; two brothers James R. and William G., both of Bucklin, Kan., and three grandchildren Barbara and Sally Dadisman and Delores Kirkpatrick. Gill Mortuary is in charge.
