MRS. OLE AUNE PASSED AWAY JANUARY 29, 1930
Mrs. Ole Aune (maiden name Marit Ronning) was born Dec. 17, 1854 in Singsaas, Norway. She died Wednesday, January 29, 1930, at the age of 76 years, one month and 12 days. She came to America in the month of May in the year 1882, and settled in Lincoln county, Minnesota.
She was united in marriage to Ole Aune in 1886 and they settled on a homestead two and a half miles southeast of Hendricks where she lived continuously until her death.
She leaves to mourn her passing the following children, Peter, Berit, Andrew, Lars, Bertha, Gena (Mrs. Anton B. Christianson) and Ole, all of the Hendricks community. Seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ed Sommervold, also mourn her death.
Mrs. Ole Aune had been sickly and very feeble for some time past.
Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 o’clock Saturday, February 1, and at the Lutheran Free church, Rev. E. L. Erickson officiating. She was laid to rest in the East cemetery. The pallbearers were Lars Digre, Ole Reitan, Theodore Thoreson, Oscar Ruttum, Chris Pederson and Andrew J. Aune. Miss Eda Hinsverk sang “Den Store Hvede Flok Vi Se”.
