The SE 1/4 of the SE 1/4 of S23 T33 R26. He sold that land by deed dated 4 May 1906, signed with his mark in Stockton, Cedar Co., MO. Deed stated he was a single man. Consideration for the sale was $1,200. Deed recorded Book 72, page 429. Henry's daughter, Etta Landers Murrell, told Hal Landers that Henry brought his family to California in 1906 immediately after the great San Francisco earthquake. Henry's death certificate states that he had lived 18 years at his place of death. Cause was a fractured leg, with old age and shock as contributory factors. He was a widower at the time of death. Petition for Letters of Administration filed 17 Mar 1924, Tulare Co., CA. He died intestate. Names of next of kin and heirs at law were widow, Fannie Landers; G.W. Landers, age 42, son, residing at Porterville; T.H. Landers, age 29, son, resident at Laverne, CA; Etta Murrell age 22, daughter, residing at Strathmore; and Bertha Kincaid, age 10, daughter of Jessie Kincaid, deceased daughter, residing at Porterville. In an interview with Archie Landers on 5 June 1994, he said that his family came from Missouri to California in 1905 and stayed about a year, then went back to Missouri for a year. In 1907, after the big San Francisco earthquake, they came back, by train, to stay. This time they brought some Duncans with them - Arthur and Grant Duncan. They married sisters - Cynthia married Arthur. He didn't remember exactly how they were connected, but knew that Cynthia was Walter Landers'"cousin".

The census listed Henry Landers as a farmer.

The death of the fifth child of Henry Landers and Susanna Worley was the result of Susanna having yellow jaundice.

After the death of Henry's wife Susanna Worley, he married Fanny Sophia Arms Pardue (mother of his son in law Porter Pardue) on July 19, 1909 in Visalia, Tulare County, California. Henry's age was listed as 48 years and Fanny's age listed as 55 on the marriage certificate.

The marriage did not last long as it was stated by Etta Landers Murrell (youngest child of Henry Landers) that Henry did not like supporting Fanny's grown son Curtis Pardue.

According to records of the Tulare County Clerk, Visalia, California dated March 12, 1980, there was no dissolution of the marriage of Henry Landers and Fanny Sophia Arms.
