Obituary in the Porterville Evening Recorder 09 Mar 1963 said he was 65, of 324 Maurer, "died at his home early this morning following an illness of several months." He was a native of MO and had lived in Porterville 58 years. Survivors include his wife, Ruth, a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Smith of Santa Cruz, a stepson, Wayne E. Ward of Lemoore, one sister, Mrs. Etta Murrell of Porterville, and 6 grandchildren.Services were scheduled for Tuesday March 12 at Myers Chapel, with interment at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Copy of obituary in possession of the author.
