Obituary in Porterville Recorder Mar 14, 1988: "Graveside service will be held for Marietta Murrell at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hillcrest Memorial Park. The Rev. Bruce Stevens of the First Christian Church in Porterville will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Whitehurst Loyd Chapel.
Mrs. Murrell, 86, died Friday in a local hospital.
She was a native of Missouri and a resident of Porterville 32 years. She was employed as a packer at Strathmore Packing House for 40 years.
Surviving are three grand-children, Randy Ward of Hanford, Susan Cheek of Porterville and Candice Calhoun of Georgia; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren."
