Henry's purchase from Joseph Dixon's heirs was of 53 1/3 acres or 1/3 of the NW 1/4 of S23 T12 R1E containing 160 acres to be taken off the East side of Section 53 Rods in width. Note that Nelly was not a grantor. The grantors were John Dixon and Harriet his wife, Robert L. Dixon and Hannah his wife, George Thomas and Nancy his wife, Anna Dixon and Elizabeth Thomas. The deed later specifies the heirs were John, Robert, Nancy, Anna and Elizabeth.
Age 21 (1829) 28 Nov 1850, Darke Co., OH
Age 30 (1830) 30 Jun 1860, Darke Co., OH
Age 45 (1825) 6 Jul 1870, Cedar Co., MO
Age 51 (1829) 21 & 22 Jun 1880, Cedar Co., MO.
Henry's first (and only?) real estate purchase in Cedar Co., MO, was recorded 25 Nov 1868, same day as the deed was signed. Purchase of the S 1/2 of the NW 1/4 and the NW 1/4 of the SW 1/4 of S23 T33 R26 containing 120 acres more or less.
Probate Court records show nothing for Landers. Deed from his heirs, Reuben, John and Henry, dated 12 Feb 1886 conveying their 3/4 undivided interest in the above property. That would indicate that a 4th party inherited, possibly the grandchild, son of Henry's deceased daughter.
Note that old naming patterns have the first son named after the father's father, the 2nd after the mother's father and the 3rd after the father. First daughter is named after the mother's mother. BUT Henry's brother, Samuel, named his first son Henry and there is a Henry of the right age and location to be their father. No other Reuben's found yet.
