Nancy J. Clay died at St. Catherines Hospital, East Chicago, Lake Co, Illinois on 30 Dec 1975. She was born 1 Nov 1902. Her surviving spouse was Lawrence Clay. She was a housewife - her residence in Hammond, North Twp, Lake County - 7318 Grand Ave, Apt 3. Her father was William Avery, her mother Nora Ridinger. Her husband was the informant. She died of a cerebrovascular accident - a stroke. John Song, of Hammond was the doctor. She was buried City Cemetery, Beardstown, IL on January 3rd.
Note: There is a discrepancy in this document - at the top her date of death is stated as 31 December - at the bottom where the doctor gave his information, he stated she died at 5:30 PM on the 30th, but he signed the certificate on the 31st.

Although the above death certificate states she was buried City Cemetery, FindAGrave states she and Lawrence are buried at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, Lake Co, IL. There are no pictures of gravestones. A marriage to a Luther McWilliams is also listed. There is a marriage certificate for Nora Margaret Regneir who was then age 64, 13 Jan 1993, who claims her parents were Chester McWilliams and Nancy J. Avery. She would have been born in 1929. Luther Chester McWilliams died in Chicago 27 Apr 1930. He must have been the first husband of Nancy J. Avery - Lawrence Clay her second.
