JAMES AVERY
James E. Avery, 75, of 1200 Earl St, Pekin, died at 2:30 this morning, Jan. 15, 1986, in the Pekin Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Avery had been a superviser at Caterpillar Tractor Co. 37 years, retiring Dec 30, 1972.
Born Jan 16, 1910, at Rushville, he was a son of William D. and Nora A. Radinger Avery. He married Esther D. Lange, July 18, 1916, at Manteno.
Surviving are his wife; two grandchildren, Clinton and Eunice, both of Pekin, and three sisters, Mrs. Metta M. Lashbrook of Beardstown, Mrs. Ethel V. Hill of Pekin and Mrs. Mary McDaniels of Pawnee.
One daughter, five brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Avery was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in St. John's church. The Rev. Darwood Kesselmeyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Lakeside Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Noel Henderson Funeral Home and one hour before the service Friday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
