Mary C. McDannald, 96, of Pawnee, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at Pleasant Hill Nursing Home in Girard, Ill.
Mary was born Dec. 26, 1917, in Schuyler County, Ill., the daughter of William and Nora A. Ridinger Avery. She married Lawrence E. McDannald on Jan. 28, 1936.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence "Penny" in 1992; six brothers; five sisters and her son-in-law, Robert W. Lewis, in 1986.
Mary worked at Nelson's Drugstore for 15 years as a clerk, and was a member of the Pawnee Chapter #436, Order of Eastern Star since 1960.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Phyllis ; three grandchildren: seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Burial will be at Horse Creek Cemetery in Pawnee.
