Lawrence Clay of Highland celebrated his 100th birthday with a party at Community of Christ Church in Highland.
He was born Oct 8, 1903, in Steelville, Mo.
He married Nancy on Aug 29, 1936.
His children are Alvin McWilliams and Margie Mullins. [NOTE: stepchildren]
He has eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren
Mr. Clay is retired from GATX where he was a railcar builder.

Lawrence E. "Grandpa" Clay, 100, of Highland, IN, passed away on Saturday, February 7,2004. He is survived by one son, Chester A. (June) McWilliams and one daughter Margie (Carl) Mullins, both of Rensselaer, IN; seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Stella Clay of Lowell, IN and Mary McDonald of Pawnee, IL. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nancy Josephine Clay.....
