BANGOR and HOULTON - Elva B. Adams, 83, died Oct. 21, 1987 at a Bangor hospital. She was born Dec. 4, 1903, at Houlton, the daughter of William and Emma (Terrill) Smith. She was a member of the Military Street Baptist Church and the Rebekahs. She is survived by one son, Donald S. Adams of Bangor; one daughter, Phyllis B. Peters of Hampden; 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Dunn Funeral Home, Houlton 7-9 p.m. Friday. Services will be conducted at the funeral home 2:30 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. Foster Williams officiating. Interment will be in Houlton Presbyterian Cemetery.Endnotes
