HOULTON, Dec. 13 - Emma M. Smith, 87, died Monday at a local nursing home after a long illness. She was born at Eel River Lake, N. B., August 30, 1873, daughter of George and Jane (Thompson) Terrill. She had been a resident of Houlton for the past 47 years. She is survived by two sons, Miles and Harold, both of Hodgdon; two daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Crane and Mrs. Elva Adams, both of Littleton; 14 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Dunn Funeral Home, Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home, Thursday at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. Wayne Thompson officiating. Interment will be in East Hodgdon Cemetery.Endnotes
