Death

Sixty-one years of age, Oscar A. Furr died this morning at twelve-forty-five o'clock in the King's Daughters’ hospital. In good health up to Sunday morning, Mr. Furr suffered a stroke, after which he never regained consciousness. He was born near Staunton and spent his entire life in Augusta county. For the past three years, he had been an employee of the (sic). Surviving are his wife, formerly Miss Nelia Snow; seven children: Mrs. Carl Brown, Strasburg; Mrs. L. E. Wrenn, Weyer Cave; Mrs. W. E. Saufley, Mt. Crawford, and Misses Anna and Mary Lee Crawford, at home; two sons, Robert A., Staunton, and Stanley Furr, at home, and one sister, Mrs. N. W. Snow, Waynesboro. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at four o'clock from the home at Weyers Cave, conducted by the Rev. David F. Glovier, assisted by the Rev. H. I. Skelton. Interment will be in the Pleasant View cemetery near Weyers Cave.
