Death

Howard Rosevelt Furr, 78, of Warrenton, VA, died Friday, November 8, 2002 at Fauquier Hospital. He was born August 2, 1924 in Marshall, Virginia. He attended the Warrenton Assembly of God Church and was a long time employee with Shenandoah¹s Pride Dairy, working as a driver. Visitation will be Sunday, November 10, 2002, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Moser Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place Monday, November 11, at 2:00 p.m. at Warrenton Assembly of God with the Rev. Dr. Hurley R. Shortt officiating. Interment will take place at Bright View Cemetery, Warrenton. He is survived by his wife, Mary A. Furr of Warrenton, VA; five sons, Howard F. Furr of Casanova, VA, Eugene C. Furr of Moline, IL, Doug Furr of Warrenton, VA, Wayne L. Furr of Simpsonville, SC, and Melvin T. Furr of Staunton, VA; one daughter, Brenda M. Furr of Manassas, VA; four brothers, Jack Furr, Harvey Furr of Front Royal, VA, Charlie Furr, and Daniel Furr of of Culpeper, VA; and four sisters, Mabel Canard of Warrenton, VA, Alice Trenum of Warrenton, VA, Georgia Dawson of Bealeton, VA, and Jinny Furr of Remington, VA. He preceded in death by his father, Jackson Lee Furr; his mother, Katherine Furr; and one granddaughter, Melanie Furr. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Warrenton Assembly of God Building Fund, 276 Cleveland St., Warrenton Va 20186.
