Death
Mrs. John Yow, 46, of Route 2, Stanfield, died Tuesday at 8:50 a.m. in Cabarrus Hospital in Concord. She had been in declining health for several years. The former Miss Dora Furr, she was the daughter of George P. and the late Minnie Kluttz Furr. Funeral services were held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Kinza Baptist Church of which she was a member. Rev. Alvin Faulkenberry, Rev. John H. Connell, and Rev. Wayne Austin officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. In addition to her father, Mrs. Yow is survived by her husband; three daughters, Peggy, Barbara, and Fay of the home; three sons, Hoyle and J. D. of the home and Charlie of route 2, Stanfield; one brother, Bud Furr of Kannapolis; and five sisters, Mrs. Cardie Jarvis of Concord, Mrs. Ralph Elwood, and Mrs. Ruth Burnette of Kannapolis, Mrs. Boyd Mills and Mrs. Herman Combs of Baltimore, Md.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, April 3, 1959
