(born 1881/1882) Her father was Charlie Clontz and her mother was Nettie Griffin. The informant was F. F. Furr of Stanfield. She is buried in the Love Graveyard. Her husband was George Furr b. 1881 who she married 11 Mar 1900 Stanly Co. son of S.H. and Margaret "Maggie" Furr. At this moment, I don't know what the S.H. is for. Minnie's sister Clemmie b. 1884 married George's brother A. Baxter Furr b. 1883. 17 Apr 1904. George's brother John A. Furr married Sophronia Whitley 28 Aug 1898 On Minnie's marriage license, her parents are given as Charles (deceased) and Elvine (deceased). Her parents, Charles C. Clontz and Nettie E. (Elvine) Griffin were married 17 May 1879 Union Co. NC. Charles is the son of my ancestor, John Adam Clontz and Serena Huneycutt. John Adam is the son of Jeremiah and Catherine (surname unknown) Clontz, Jr. the son of the Rev. War Patriot Jeremiah and Anna Catherine (Long) Clontz buried at Union Cemetary near Brief in Union Co. NC. Nellie Griffin is the d/o Alfred W. and Caroline Griffin. Minnie also had brothers Charlie (md. Ollie Baucom), Bunyun (d. Pearlie May Kiker) and Matheson (nfr). Will close for now.
