Death
CLINTON — Lank Furr, 85, of Whitmire Highway, died Wednesday in Newberry. A native of Stanley County, N. C., son of the late Henry Clinton and Abigail Hudson Furr, he was formerly employed by Clinton Mills and Hallmark Corporation. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Iona Dedmond Furr; two sons, Olin F. and James E. Furr of Clinton; a sister, Mrs. Effie Smith of Newberry; two brothers, Tom and P. C. Furr of Clinton; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will Thursday at 3 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home, with burial in Rosemont Cemetery. The family is at the home of a son, Olin Furr, Whitmire Highway.The Greenville News, Greenville, South Carolina, November 4, 1971
