Death
CLINTON — James E. Furr, 67, of Route 1, Smallwood Community, died of natural causes June 12, 1988, at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood. He was a retired insurance salesman with Metropolitan Life Insurance Co., a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Claudia Boyce Furr of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Judge (Jimmie) Vaughan of Greenwood and Mrs. J.E. (Martha) Buchanan of Pelzer; and a brother, Olin F. Furr of Clinton. Graveside services: 4 p.m. Tuesday in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Gray Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church Educational Building Fund, First Baptist Church, Clinton, S.C.The Greenville News, Greenville, South Carolina, June 13, 1988
