Death
Claudia Boyce Furr, age 90, of Clinton, the widow of James Earle Furr, died Friday, July 6, 2012 in the McCall Hospice House in Simpsonville, SC. She was born in Lee County and was the daughter of the late Joseph Eckard and Carrie Belle Boyce. Mrs. Furr was retired from Belk Department Store, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton. She is survived by her daughters, Jimmie Vaughan and husband Judge of Kinards and Martha Buchanan and husband JE of Pelzer, four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Furr is predeceased by a son, Calvin Ted Furr, and a sister, Ellen Lackey. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, July 9th at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Clinton, SC with burial in the Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McCall Hospice House, 1836 West Georgia Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29680, or to First Baptist Church, P. O. Box 95, Clinton, SC 29325.
