Death
LANDIS — Mrs. Florence Idella Furr, 94, of Concord died at 10:45 a. m. Friday in a Charlotte nursing home after an extended illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p. m. today at Mt. Olivet Methodist Church by Rev. Albert W. Wellons. Burial will be in the Center Grove Methodist Church Cemetery at Georgeville. The body will remain at Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home in Landis until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to services. Mrs. Furr was born August 10, 1872 in Cabarrus County. She was a member of Mt. Olivet Methodist Church. Her husband, James A. Furr, died in 1955. Survivors include one son, Brevard A. Furr of Concord; three daughters, Mrs. Ethel Sloop of Charlotte, Mrs. Harry Sechler of Kannapolis and Mrs. Paul Chandler of Concord; 18 grandchildren; 52 great-grand-children; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.The Daily Independent, Kannapolis, North Carolina, May 21, 1967
