Death
Mrs. Mary A. Furr, aged and well known woman of this city, died Thursday afternoon at 5:15 o’clock at the home here of her son, Moses L. Furr. Death was caused by complications resulting from old age. Mrs. Furr was 85 years of age, having been born September 20, 1840 in Cabarrus county, a daughter of the late Tobias and Sophia Furr. She was the wife of the late Daniel C. Furr. Mrs. Furr joined the Methodist Church in her girlhood and at the time of her death was a member of Mt. Olivet Church. Surviving are four sons, D. M., J.M., M. L. Furr, of Concord and A.E. Furr, of Hillsboro; two daughters, Miss Martha Furr, of Concord, and Mrs. J. F. Furr, of No. 4 township; and one brother, Martin A. Furr. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at Mt. Olivet Church, conducted by the pastor, Rey. A. G. Loftin.
