The funeral service for M. M. Furr, who died suddenly Saturday evening was held at 11 o'clock Monday at Friendship M. P. church, the service being in charge of W. D. Reed, pastor, assisted by Rev. Elzie Myers, Rev. Mr. Isley and Rev. Mr. Heglar, all of Albemarle. The service was largely attended. Active pallbearers were W. L. Mann, John Harwood, Silas Herlocker, James Harwood, Levi Sides and Robert Furr. The floral designs were large and beautiful and were in charge of Mrs. A. L. Dry and Miss Melvie Herlocker, assisted by 30 nieces and friends of the family. Those attending the funeral from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. Levi Sides, Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Tucker, Mr. and Mrs. John Raymer and family, Mrs. Florence Kennedy, Mr. and Mrs. Isenhour, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Raymer family, Mr. and Mrs. Kennedy and family, Mrs. V. L. Lowder, Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Lowder and family and Vander Lowder, all of Concord; Mr. and Mrs. P. C. Sides, West Virginia; Mr. and Mrs. Zeb V.
