Death
Funeral services for Charles Homer Furr, 44, who died of a heart attack at 7:3 o'clock yesterday morning at his home, 1925 East Tenth street will be held at 2 o'clock Sunday at Belmont Park Methodist church with Rev. J. W. Fitzgerald in charge. Interment will be in Oaklawn cemetery. Mr. Furr, who has been a salesman for the Charlotte Coca-Cola Bottling Co. for the last 22 years, was a native of Stanly county. He was born December 13, 1898, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Furr. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Venadir Furr; one daughter, Miss Mary Evelyn Furr of the home; one son, Sergeant James H, Furr of the U. S. Army; one brother, E. P. Furr of Statesville; and three sisters, Mrs. D. P. Herlocker and Mrs. Hugh Harkey of Albemarle, and Mrs. Fred E, Herrin of Statesville.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, January 30, 1943
