Death
ALBEMARLE — Mrs. P. A. Harwood, 81, of 244 Concord Road, Albemarle, died at 4 o'clock Saturday morning in the Stanly County Hospital, following an illness of two days. A native of Stanly County, she was the former Miss Elmira Furr and was a member of Salem Methodist Church. Funeral services will be held today at 3 p.m. at Salem Church, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Luther Lawing, assisted by the Rev. James R. Faggart. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Harwood is survived by two sons, G. H. Harwood of Route 6, Charlotte, and Macon of the home; three daughters, Moose, Route 1, Albemarle, Mrs. Tom Streicher of Albemarle, and Mrs. Hugh Underhill of Corona, Calif.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, September 22, 1963
