Death
Isaac Franklin Furr, 48-year-old resident of Stanfield route 1, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home early Tuesday morning, June 30, about 4 o'clock. He was the son of Mrs. Laura Almond Furr and the late Grover C. Furr of western Stanly county and he worked as a sawmill hand. Surviving include his widow, Mrs. Cora Lee Moyle Furr, three daughters, Mrs. Willie Smith, Jr., of route 1, Stanfield, Patsy and Ritchie of the home; three sons, Everett of the U. S. Army in New Jersey, Kenneth and Clevie of the home; five brothers, George, Grover, Clayton, Theodore, and Junior Furr, all of Lexington; and two sisters, Mrs. W. D. Yarboro and Mrs. W. C. Brinkley, both of Lexington. Funeral services for Mr. Furr were held at the Running Creek Primitive Baptist church on Wednesday, July 1, at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Daniel Coffey in charge of the rites.
