Death

Graveside rites for Everette Franklin Furr will be held at 10 am Tuesday at the National Cemetery in Salisbury, conducted by the Rev Guy Fisher, chaplain of the VA Medical Center. The family will be at the funeral site one hour before theservice Tuesday Lyerly Funeral Home will be in charge. Born Nov 1, 1932, in Stanly County, he was a son of the late Isaac Franklin and Coyle Lee Moyle Furr Educated in the Stanly County schools, he was a textile worker. He was a Baptist and a US Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Julia Broadway Furr, a son, Everette Franklin Furr Jr of Gastonia, a daughter, Kathy Mabry of Mount Gilead, two brothers, Cleevie Furr of New London and Kenneth Furr of Albemarle, two sisters, Patsey Morton of Orlando, Fla , and Ricki Brown of Wilmington, and two grandchildren. Furr, 55, of 210 Bogan Ave, Albemarle, died at 8 30 am Sept 1, 1988, at the VA Medical Center. She (sic) had been in declining health for a number of years and seriously ill for the past three months.
