Death
LEXINGTON — Grover Lee Furr, 56, of 511 Holt Street died yesterday at Forsyth Memorial Hospital in Winston-Salem. He had been in declining health for eight years. He was born in Stanley County to Grover Cleveland and Laura Jane Furr. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margie Yarborough Furr; four daughters, Mrs. Ernest McFerrin of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., Mrs. Robert Lee Warner of Welcome, Mrs. James Smith of Lexington and Miss Elaine Furr of the home; a son, Robert Lee Furr of the home; two brothers, G. C. Furr of Albemarle and Clayton Furr of Charlotte; and two sisters, Mrs. W. D. Yarbrough and Mrs. Clifford Brinkle of Lexington. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Piedmont Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park.Winston-Salem Journal, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, August 13, 1966
