Notes
Death
Ms. Dolly Belle Furr died Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC, surrounded by her loving daughter and family. Dolly was born June 18, 1935 to the late Mr. Grover Lee & Mrs. Margie Yarbrough Furr. She was a graduate of Lexington Senior High School, a lifelong lover of baking and any kind of craft (beading and crocheting a couple of her favorite types of crafts) and a pretty mean dancer - she never shied away from a dance floor. While she enjoyed other jobs throughout her life, she completed her working career and retired from TI Industries, where she was a molder. In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by a husband, Ernest Estley McFerrin, a precious daughter, Patricia “Trish” Owens Kesler, a cherished friend JC Eudy, and a fur baby named Ladybug who she loved immensely. Left to cherish her memory are her beloved daughter Margie Owens Stone and son-in-law Kenneth Ray Stone; four siblings, Carmellene Warner, Jeanette “Tinky” (James) Smith, Robert (Cathy) Furr, and Elaine Furr; five grandchildren, Tracey Dudley Hulin, Darrell Bennet, Kena (Robert) Stone Bowman, Misty (Mark) Kesler Ketchie and Jodie (Wes) Stone Krause; eight great grandchildren, Felicia Kesler, Haleigh Hulin, Alicia Ketchie, Joseph Ketchie, Bryson Hunter, Mckenzie Hulin, Braxton Hunter and Ella Bowman, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her family, Dolly also had a very special group of loved ones at Brookstone Rest Home and Retirement Center who she loved very much and they will miss her dearly. The family will receive guests at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Piedmont Funeral Home, 405 South Main Street, Lexington, NC, with a celebration of life beginning at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Sam Harvey will serve as officiant. A graveside service will follow at Lexington City Cemetery, Lexington, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Brookstone Rest Home and Retirement Center, 2968 Old Salisbury Road, Lexington, NC 27295 or to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home (℅ Trellis Supportive Care), 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Arrangements by Piedmont Funeral Home, Lexington, NC.Endnotes
