Death
LEXINGTON, Feb, 18 — Theodore Roosevelt Furr, better known as Ted, 43, resident of Lexington, died today of injuries received in a tractor-trailer accident near Soperton, Ga. Furr was born in Stanly County. He was employed as a driver with the Eastern Dehydrating Co. of Lexington. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Louise Hardister Furr of the home; one son, Andy Furr of the home; one daughter, Teddy Furr of the home; three brothers, Clayton Furr of Charlotte, Grover Furr and George Furr, both of Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. W. D. Yarbrough and Mrs. William Brinkle, both of Lexington. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Noah Holbrook and the Rev. Henry Poole officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Methodist Cemetery.News and Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, February 17, 1962
