STERLINGTON — Services for Mrs. Marion Furr (Nana) Lucas, 75, of Sterlington will be at 3 p.m. Friday May 27, 1988 at the Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel on Sterlington Rd. in Monroe with Msgr. George Martinez officiating. Burial will be in the Muihearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Lucas died Thursday May 26, 1988 at the St. Francis Medical Center. She was a native of Wisner, LA and had resided in Ouachita Parish since 1949. Mrs. Lucas was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, a graduate of Baptist Hospital in New Orleans, and was a retired nurse from Northeast Louisiana University. Survivors include one son, George Edward Lucas, Sr., of Bastrop, TX; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Kaye Minten of Gaithersburg, Maryland and Mrs. Janice Marie Russ of Sterlington; three brothers, Clarence Furr of Wisner, Lucian Furr of Bossier City and Robert Furr of Wichita, KS; two sisters, Mrs. Vivian. Bledsoe of Bossier City and Mrs. Jean Cloy of Baton Rouge and nine grandchildren, George Edward Lucas, Jr., Christian Emile Lucas, Amy Michelle Minten, Mark Alan Minten, Jimmy Emile Bradbury, Paula Diane Hobson, Judy Marie Bradbury, John Eugene Bradbury and Betty Jean Russ. Pallbearers will be Don Perry, Wesley Russ, Larry Riley, Larry Thigpen, Larry Corbin and Leon Russ. Grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. A Rosary service was held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.The News-Star, Monroe, Louisiana, May 27, 1988
