Death
WINNSBORO — Lucian Wiley Furr Sr., 78, of Wisner died in a Winnsboro hospital Thursday. Funeral services will be held in the South Central Baptist Church near Wisner at 2:45 p.m. today with the Rev. Carlton Vance and the Rev. Harold Dunn officiating. Burial will be in South Central Cemetery under the direction of First National Funeral Home. Survivors are six sons, C. A. Furr of Wisner, L. W. Furr Jr. of Bossier City, H. L. Furr of West Monroe, Joe N. Furr of Monroe, Capt. Robert Furr of Tacoma, Wash., and Frank Furr of Extension; three daughters, Mrs. Vivian Bledsoe of Bossier City, Mrs. Marion Lucas of Monroe and Mrs. Jean Cloy of Jonesboro; 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.The Monroe News-Star, Monroe, Louisiana, July 9, 1965
