Notes
Death
Although friends in Brookhaven knew of the several months’ illness of Mrs. Marion Furr, news of her death on Monday came as a shock and left its burden of sorrow and regret. Mrs. Furr was one of our most splendid women. She was the beloved sister of Mrs. Randal! Furr, Mrs. C. W. Maxwell and Mrs. C. H. Moore. Beside these she leaves to mourn, her husband and four children, two daughters and two sons, who are well known in our city. The funeral services took place at Bahala church, of which organization Mrs. Furr was a devoted member. The Leader extends its sincere sympathy to the bereaved family whose home now rests under the Shadow of Death and beneath a weight of sorrow unalleviated by the loving touch and inspiration of wife and mother, who through long years filled that home with joy. "Oh! these parting scenes shall end, We shall meet as friend with friend, Some Sweet Day!’’ 6/26/1912Endnotes
