Death
BROOKHAVEN, Aug. 9 — Mrs. Louella Wylie Furr, resident of Route 2, Wesson, passed quietly away Monday morning at the home to which she came as a bride many years ago. She was over 70 and the widow of the late R. E. Furr, one of the outstanding and prominent citizens of Copiah county during his life time. Mrs. Furr was a member of the Clear Branch Baptist church. Final rites were held from the residence with the Rev. J. A. Taylor officiating, assisted by the Rev. H. L. Daniel and the Rev. A. W. Duck. Interment followed in the Clear Branch cemetery. Survivors include two sons, Prentiss Furr of Wesson and Clyde Furr of Massachusetts; two daughters, Mrs. Annie Drane of Yazoo City and Mrs. Addie Nell Crawford of Wesson, who made her home with her mother. One sister, Mrs. Charlie Moore of Fair River, and one sister-in-law, Mrs. Ella Knapp of Wesson, also survive.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, August 10, 1940
