Death
WESSON, March 9 — Funeral services for F. L. Furr, 40, prominent Wesson business man and planter, were held from his home Thursday afternoon. Interment was made in the Clear Branch cemetery. Services were conducted by three lo- cal ministers, Mark Lowry, H. L. Daniels and A. W. Duck. Mr. Furr was for the past several years one of the foremost business men of this town. He was associated at the time of his death with the Wesson Pharmacy, Furr Brothers Gin Company, Hazlehurst gin companies and the box plant, the extensive plantation of the R. E. Furr estate and wide farm lands of his own. He was the son of the late R. E. Furr who was a pioneer planter in Copiah and Lincoln counties. He was a Baptist. He married Mae Middleton and was the father of two children, Randle 13 and Frederick 8. Mr. Furr is survived by his widow and two children, his mother, Mrs. R. E. Furr, two sisters, Mrs. A. J. Drane and Mrs. William Crawford, two brothers, W. P. Furr and Clyde Furr of Swampscott, Mass. All the survivors except Mr. Clyde Furr live at Wesson.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, March 10, 1939
