Death
Funeral services for Clyde T. Furr, 69, resident of Wesson, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday from Wright and Ferguson chapel, with the Rev. Eli B. Landrum, of Wesson, officiating. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Furr died Sunday afternoon in Hardy Wilson Memorial Hospital in Hazlehurst, following an extended illness. He was born and reared in Wesson. For a number of years he was employed by General Electric Company in Lynn, Mass., returning to Wesson to make his home in 1940. Since 1960 he had served as town clerk. He was a graduate of Georgia Tech, with a degree in mechancial (sic) engineering; was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity, and was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors are his wife, the former Dorothy Eva Duncan of Swampschott, Mass.; two daughters, Mrs. Newton (Deddy) Ford of Jackson and Mrs. Howard (Nancy) Bonham of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Drane and Mrs. Addie Nell Crawford, both of Wesson; and five grandchildren.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, December 23, 1969
