Death
Prentiss Furr, business man at Wesson, died at a hospital in New Orleans, La., Thursday. The deceased was prominent in the business world at Wesson where he was a land owner, cotton ginner and merchant. He had lived in Wesson all his life. He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Bethea; one son, Billy Furr; two sisters, Mrs. Bill Crawford and Mrs. Drain; one brother Clyde Furr. All are citizens of Wesson. Mrs. Furr is the sister of Mrs. Herbert V. Brown and Mrs. H. B. Haynes, both of Jackson. Services will be held at Brookhaven though arrangements are not yet complete.The Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, March 18, 1949
