Death
CONCORD, Sept. 17. — Jonah Lowe Furr, 72, died Monday night at Cabarrus hospital after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage and stroke. Funeral will be at Westford Methodist church Wednesday at 3 p.m. and burial will be made in Love's Grove cemetery in Stanly county. Mr. Furr was twice married. His first wife was the former Glennie Love and the surviving children of this marriage include Mrs. W. H. Nance, of Monroe, Floyd Furr, of Charlotte, Walter Furr, of Harrisburg, and Flave Furr, of Concord. Mr. Furr’s second marriage was to Miss Daisy Kiser who survives with nine children, Kenneth, Homer, Glenn and Ralph Furr and Mrs. Robert Mason, of Concord, and Lois, Hilda, Ernest and Helen Furr, of the home. He is survived also by one sister, Mrs. Julia Furr, of Harrisburg; two brothers, Mart Furr, of Cabarrus county, and Adam Furr, of Stanly county, 27 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.News and Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, September 18, 1946
