Death
Mr. Monroe Furr, a well known citizen of Furr Township, Stanly county, died September 26, of appendicitis, aaged about 60 years. He leaves his wife, two sons and four daughters. The remains were interred at Love’s Grove.The Concord Times, Concord, North Carolina, October 6, 1905

"I, Monroe L. Furr . . . of the age of 65 years . . . That the tract of land known as the mining property of 193 acres shall be sold for the sum of not less than twelve thousand dollars and divided equal among all of my heirs . . . The home tract of 206 acres shall remain the property of my wife M. P. Furr till her death, then at her death it shall become the property of my heirs . . . All other lands must be sold to pay off all debts and expences . . . May sell personal property should the executor think best . . ."
