Death
ALBEMARLE—Adam Luther Furr, 87, retired farmer of Stanfield, Rt. 1, died Monday night, leaving a total of 142 descendants. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder C. M. Mills and Elder C. L. Ratcliff, Burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are five sons, Silas F. of Charlotte, Charlie and Jackson of Stanfield, Walter of Concord and Houston of Okinawa; five daughters, Mrs. Henry Furr of Harrisburg, Mrs. Lectie Frick and Mrs. Adam Huneycutt of Stanfield, Mrs. Edward Furr of Albemarle and Mrs. Wenford Simpson of Locust, and 52 grandchildren.The News and Observer, Raleigh, North Carolina, December 9, 1959
