Death
Locust, March 24. — Two funerals were held Wednesday afternoon from Meadow Creek church. The first was for Luther Furr, 37, who died from pneumonia at his home in Concord. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Furr of this section. A daughter, Miss Ethel, is also critically ill from pleurisy and pneumonia. She also suffered injuries in a fall while in school prior to her present illness.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, March 25, 1930
CONCORD, March 18. — Ill with pneumonia 10 days, Luther A. Furr died at 4:40 o'clock this morning at his home on the Charlotte road. He was 47 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from Meadow Creek church in Stanly county with Rev. Mr. Mullis officiating.
