Death
Floyd Lee Furr, 56, of Rt. 10, Charlotte, died Saturday night in Mercy Hospital. Funeral services will be held today at 4:30 p.m. at the Newell Baptist Church, conducted by the Rey. J. C. Jones, pastor. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state in the church for 30 minutes. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bertha Starnes Furr; two daughters, Mrs. Maxine Edmonds and Mrs. Wellene Culles, both of Charlotte; five grandchildren; seven brothers, Walter, H. C., G. E., R. C., and K. C. Furr, all of Concord, E. J. Furr of Baltimore, Md., and F. L. Furr, of Harrisburg; and five daughters, Mrs. Rob Mason, of Concord, Mrs. Leo Beaver, of China Grove, Mrs. Lula Nance, of Monroe, Miss Helen Furr, of Charlotte, and Miss Lois Furr, of Concord.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, April 23, 1956
